We do allow for cloud storage systems. However, they must meet our security requirements.
For example, Microsoft OneDrive is a personal and collaborative file storage and sharing service, but is not acceptable for security reasons.
However, Azure Blob Storage, a part of Microsoft Azure, would be acceptable for security reasons, as it is designed for larger amounts of unstructured data, including text, binary and other file types.
Fundamentally, consumer-focused file storage systems likely would not meet our security requirements, while a professional-grade storage solution for managing larger data likely would meet our security requirements.
All prospective cloud-based storage systems are subject to review by our security team, who must approve them for use.
